Sunday Best to curate ‘Labelled with Love’ Festival
Following on from the Independent Music Awards that took place on September 3rd, next week brings with it the return of the Association of Independent Music’s ‘Labelled with Love’ Festival. Promoted by Club Fandango and supported by XFM as well as the Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts programme, ‘Labelled with Love’ will take place over four days at London’s 229 venue with each night featuring a showcase from two of the UK’s beloved independent labels; and on day two it’s our turn!
Alongside Rocket Girl Records in Room 2, next Wednesday September 25th will see a delectable selection of Sunday Best’s artists performing at 229.
Headlining the evening are multi talented siblings Kitty, Daisy & Lewis whose energetic live performance coupled with their irresistible hybrid of country, blues, swing and r&b is guaranteed to get your feet tapping.
Up next it’s another family affair with Brazilian trio Mixhell, made up of husband and wife Iggor Cavalera and Laima Leyton with long time contributor Max Blum. Mixhell’s live performance will see them play the majority of their debut album ‘Spaces’, due out this coming Monday September 23rd. The album combines the uplifting elements of rock with electronica, all culminating in an incredibly lively and eclectic sound.
Last but definitely not least is Sunday Best’s own Julian Peck aka TYTHE whose beautiful debut LP ‘And Also With You’ is available now. The release has been described as ‘one of the most confident and understated albums of the summer’. He played his first ever live show at the Rob da Bank Presents Replay Stage at Bestival this summer and ‘Labelled with Love’ will follow up this exciting debut.
