Valerie June will play at Gilles Peterson’s ‘Worldwide Awards’!

We’re delighted to announce that our talented Tennessee lady Valerie June will be amongst the line up for Gilles Peterson‘s ‘Worldwide Awards’ 2014.

The beloved 6 Music DJ and curator of the Worldwide Festival puts on the Worldwide Awards annually as a celebration and showcase of the finest talent emerging from the international world of music. Saturday 18th January 2014 will welcome the Awards’ ninth event at Camden’s famous KOKO venue.

Alongside our timeless songstress Valerie June, acts announced thus far include the following:

With more acts to be announced in the coming weeks, the evening will be filled with music that Peterson has been championing throughout the year.
