Description & tracklisting

“Alice Jemima knows how to do subtlety. The songwriter’s shows are an exercise in restraint, her shy, self-effacing manner allowing each song to fully breathe. New single ‘Electric’ arrives shortly, and it’s a sparse, pared down piece of minimalist pop music that wouldn’t sound out of place on an early demo from The xx.” – Clash

“It’s a song marked by a minimal production that includes thumping electronic drums and subtle xx-esque guitar riffs, which contribute to create a charming soundscape filled with dark-toned nuances.” – Going Solo

‘Electric’ is the second single taken from Alice Jemima’s self-titled debut album. Produced – along with the album – by Roy Kerr (London Grammar, Foxes), Jemima describes ‘Electric’ as being “about positivity, and the realisation that you can do amazing things, if only you can see yourself the way others do.”
