Running From The Thoughts feat. Terry Hall

Dub Pistols

Released: 25 August 2008

single: SBEST65D

Description & tracklisting

The Dub Pistols’ 2007 album, ‘Speakers and Tweeters’, saw the band taking their sound to the next level, gaining them admirers from across the board.  Critically acclaimed by the press and their peers, ‘Speakers and Tweeters’ saw the band spread their wings stylistically, indulging their love of Roots Reggae, New Wave Pop and Hip-Hop.

Well early 2009 will see them return all guns blazing with an amazing new album featuring the legendary talents of Gregory Isaacs, Lindy Layton and Ashley Slater, alongside more star turns from The Specials and Fun Boy Three front man Terry Hall and UK Hip-Hop don Rodney P, and it looks set to launch them into the stratosphere!

But we can’t move our focus onto the new album just yet without giving Speaker and Tweeters’ highlight ‘Running From The Thoughts’ the extra attention it has always deserved.  The track sees TK’s quick-fire rhymes and Terry Hall’s unmistakeable drawl float atop an infectious horn-driven skank that has seen the track become a firm live favourite.

Released on digital download from Sunday Best Recordings on 25th August ’08, featuring a killer selection of remixes from Air Recordings’ DJ Love and Westway Records’ rising stars Myagi and Moriarty alongside the stellar original version.
