Voyage EP

South-East Londonbased producer Will Silver serves up six healing-power UK cuts of electro, garage and breaks for Silver Bear Recordings following successful releases over the past few years, gaining support from the likes of Bicep and Four Tet in the process. The Voyage EP is just that, a pilgrimage through the labyrinth of distinct yet shapeshifting sounds.

‘In Orbit’ channels the electro, breakbeat and UKG mutations currently dominating the UK circuit–heavy basslines blending with otherworldly sounds and sci-fi aesthetics–while ‘Falling Theme’s skippy drums, ravey bass and glistening arcade electronics replenish our health. ‘Youthful Dub’ takes the golden-age of jungle and adds elements of lower BPM functionality on a heavenly cut of jungle-electro, before ‘Show Me Your Colours’ raises the tempo-slider slightly on another steppy sequence of garage dipped breakbeat. Psychedelic acid-lines and 80’s horror movie synths are introduced on the brooding electro-bopper ‘Playskool Rave’ as Will takes yet another creative direction on the EP, before it closes with the hardcore-laced, breakbeat infused gem ‘Wonky Sandals’.
