SCROOBIUS PIP: POETRY IN (E)MOTION - 30 Mar '10
Back in 2007, when dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip's 'Thou Shalt Always Kill' was just starting to cause a stir on Myspace and the blogosphere, Scroobius Pip set a challenge to his fans: to create their own visual representations of his songs/poems, incorporating each and every word of his pioneering lyrics. The colossal response presented Pip with an astounding array of artwork, from rough and ready illustrations to slick graphic design, full comic strips to one-off art pieces.
These pieces, including artistic representations of '1000 Words', 'When I Grow Up' (AKA 'Astronaut'), 'Rat Race', 'Waiting For The Beat To Kick In...' and 'Thou Shalt Always Kill', have now been compiled into a beautifully crafted hardback graphic novel entitled 'Poetry in (e)motion', courtesy of Titan Books.
You can get it from Amazon et al, or direct from the band via their website shop ... where it also comes cunningly bundled up with copies of the new dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip album 'The Logic of Chance'!
