Description & tracklisting

The 2nd single from Grand National’s acclaimed album ‘A Drink & A Quick Decision’ is the epic-ly titled and sounding ‘By The Time I Get Home There Won’t Be Much Of A Place For Me’.

Out Now featuring a party-starting Lismore remix on the flip…

Grand National have already had a busy 2008; welcomed back into the Sunday Best fold to release second album ‘A Drink & A Quick Decision’, the pair have also recently returned from a frenetic tour of the UK with Electric Six.  Creatively fuelled by weeks spent supping fine red-wine on the banks of the Seine, April sees them offer up the second single from their sophomore set: the bass heavy, percussion driven sound of ‘By The Time I Get Home There Won’t Be Much Of A Place For Me’.

Showcasing the pair’s rockier side, but never straying too far from their electro influences, ‘By The Time I Get Home…’ seems destined for success. A perfect slice of melodic pop any discerning music lover would be happy to see dominate the charts, it also highlights a more dancefloor orientated sound, which punctuates the second album; perhaps the result of time spent in the studio with dance-god and uber-fan Sasha?

Fear Of Theydon’s re-rub of first single ‘Animal Sounds’ found support from Laurent Garnier, Sander Kleinberg, Nic De Ceglia and many more of the scene’s glitterati.  Remix duties this time fall to rambunctious indie-disco duo Lismore, whose glitch heavy and glitz influenced re-working ups the synths, turning ‘By The Time I Get Home…’ into an anthemic party-starter, the result of a trans-Atlantic meeting of minds on a Parisian dancefloor.
